Our goal is to serve your visual needs with our optimum potential and enhance your visual outcome with the best prescription while ensuring a medically sound eye. We are limiting the number of patients on the schedule and in the office. Please try to adhere to the CDC recommendations and guidelines. Face masks or facial protection are required and must be kept on. The rooms and equipment are cleaned and sanitized prior to each patient.

Contact Lens Fittings
A successful contact lens respects the curvature and shape of the cornea. Whether soft, hard or scleral and specialty fit CL for Keratoconus and irregular corneas. TVO prides itself on 24 years of specialty contact lens fits.
Lasik and Cataract Evaluations
Dr. Nassar has had Lasik herself 24 years ago and has been involved in the field of refractive surgery for the past 24 years. Our patients receive complimentary refractive consultations and are comanaged closely with our affiliate surgeons.
Dry Eye Evaluations
At TVO we specialize in identifying the plethora of conditions that lead to symptoms of dry eyes including hormonal changes, aging, eyelid positions, glandular conditions, and post surgical modifications. Medical Eye Treatments
Dr Nassar has worked closely with over 19 surgeons and has a passion for treating ocular diseases including: ocular allergies, infections, inflammations, eye pain, dry eyes, and foreign body removals.
Binocular Vision Assessment
Tired eyes, falling asleep while reading, headaches, eye strain, double vision or difficulty focusing then a binocular vision evaluation is recommended so Dr. Nassar can give exercises to allow your eyes to work better together and be more efficient. MEET YOUR DOCTOR
Dr. Joanne Nassar, O.D.
Born in Michigan raised in Southern California, Dr. Nassar has been in and out of the State of California for the past 31 years. She attended the University of California, Irvine UCI majoring in Biological Sciences, minoring in Psychology and earning an Associate of Arts Degree AA in Chemistry. Her passion for Optometry started at the age of 15 when she became nearsighted herself and so she pursued her Doctor of Optometry, O.D. from the Southern California College College of Optometry, graduating in 1997. She immediately joined one of the busiest surgical practices as the Chief Clinical Optometrist training over 26 optometrists in 19 practice locations and training staff members on risks and benefits of cataract and refractive surgery. She moved to Lebanon in 2002 volunteering and helping children with Binocular Vision disorders. In 2006, the relocation to Henderson Nevada involved her joining three busy refractive locations for 7 years. Her clinical practice shifted to Academia with her second move to Lebanon, accepting the Chairmanship position for the Optics and Optometry Department at the American University of Science and Technology, overseeing the three branches of the Undergraduate school, and started the Master's Program and hosted international speakers including WCO's president and IACLE president. Her Optometric journey led her to being involved in Organized Optometry being a part of the Legislation and Registration Committee Chair and member from 2014-2020 on both the World Council of Optometry WCO and Eastern Mediterranean Council of Optometry EMCO. In 2020 she joined the Family Eye Care Clinic in Nevada fitting Specialty Fit Scleral Contact lenses for patients with Keratoconus. Her move back to California was prompted by a position at NVision, comanaging surgical patients in Ontario California. She hopes to translate this wealth of experience into exceptional patient care for her patients. Her expertise in medical optometry and fitting of specialty Contact lenses is unmatched as she brings warmth and elevated eye care to all her patients. Her family takes precedence as she devotes all her fee time to her husband and three daughters. Dr. Nassar is a world traveler besides living in different parts of the world she has been traveling yearly to Europe, Asia and South America for the past 30 years, she enjoys the culinary and visual arts and keeps expanding her hobbies. Dr Nassar is fluent in English and Arabic and can conduct the exam in Spanish and French.
